Cypress Trash Collection Moves Back One Day After Thanksgiving for Affected Routes

CYPRESS — November 3, 2026. Cypress’s municipal collection schedule says Valley Vista Services does not operate on Thanksgiving and delays pickups by one day for routes normally collected on or after the holiday.

How the rule affects 2026

Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 26, 2026. Under the city’s published policy, Thursday customers should expect Friday pickup and Friday customers Saturday pickup, unless Valley Vista posts a newer route-specific change.

Not all routes move

Customers normally served before a holiday do not automatically shift because the following day is Thanksgiving. The city also lists other holiday exceptions, including Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
