Cypress Moves Orange Avenue Street Sweeping to Friday Between Holder and Valley View

CYPRESS — November 3, 2026. Cypress changed the north-side sweeping schedule on Orange Avenue between Holder Street and Valley View Street from Tuesdays to Fridays beginning September 1, 2026.

Which side of the street changed

The city’s August 25 announcement identifies the north side of Orange Avenue as the affected segment. The south side along the same stretch was already swept on Friday and continues under that schedule.

Why the city adjusted the route

Cypress says the change helps reduce overlap between trash collection and street sweeping. Other streets should not assume their schedule changed because of this narrow adjustment.

Parking restrictions still matter

Residents should follow posted curb signs and consult the updated city street-sweeping map before parking. The official change concerns a specific road segment, not a blanket rescheduling of all Cypress streets.
